Swimming on a shoestring…
Howdy folks!
Though we try to avoid doing this in favor of bringing you far more interesting news than “we’re broke” – consider this an appeal for desperately needed funds to keep MarineBio online.
Like everyone else, the economy has hit us hard and we’ve just been able to squeak by on a $300/month budget. That means we’re able to keep MarineBio online and maintained – but that’s about it. No new content, no new projects, etc.
Now, our coffers are so low that we are getting frighteningly close to being unable to pay our hosting bill each month. But we’re not above begging in the name of protecting marine life and the ocean. So. We’re begging.
Please contribute whatever you can to MarineBio and/or join us as a member. Whether it’s $5, $10, or better yet, $25, or even better $100! We can use all the help we can get and appreciate all donations no matter how small. But remember donations over $15 are eligible for a special thank you from us in the form of useful educational material that gets sent to your mailbox!
